Our Gear Trucks can handle anything you throw their way (with room for up to 5 passengers), and our 15 passenger vans have plenty of room to kick back on the way to and from the river. Diamond Creek
Diamond Creek Road, on the Hualapai Reservation, is the first possible take-out option, 225 river miles below Lee's Ferry. The first 20 miles of road out of the canyon are rough dirt road, that can occasionally wash out during flash floods in our monsoon season (July - September). The Hualapai Tribe requires a $60 permit fee for each trip participant, driver & vehicle (i.e. 20 permits for 16 people, 2 drivers & 2 vehicles); Moenkopi can easily add these permit fees to your group invoice (we add $4.20 per permit to cover admin & CC fees).

Pearce Ferry
Our favorite take-out, Pearce Ferry is the lower take-out option, approximately 280 river miles below Lee's Ferry. Below Diamond Creek, you'll run the Lower Granite Gorge rapids (about 12 miles) before running out on the slow-moving headwaters of Lake Mead. The flat water can be done as a night-float (with all the boats tied together and the outside oars removed in case you bump into a sand bank) which makes this whole stretch possible to do in 24 hours. Without the night float, you'll typically want 1-3 nights below Diamond. You'll save approx. $1500 with Hualapai fees and shuttle fees using the Pearce Ferry take-out.

FAQs
Will you pick us up at Pearce Ferry or Diamond Creek?
Either one. As long as conditions allow, we will pick you up at either location. There are pros and cons to each one (see above).
What time is takeout pickup scheduled?
Our standard pick up time at either Diamond Creek or Pearce Ferry is 10 am. Throughout the years, we have found that, hands down, this works best across the board, and there are a number of factors behind this policy. These considerations include: Hualapai times at Diamond Creek, DOT laws, our own risk management plan regarding drivers on the road, lodging / Riverhouse check-in time, guests' travel plans, scheduling of trucks / trailers / warehouse employees working after hours... etc.). That said, we really do want to work with groups, and give you the exact trip that you are looking for. If you do request a takeout after 12 pm, we can accommodate as long as availability dictates, and will be subject to an upcharge of at least $300 per shuttle.
What if we want to use our own vehicles for a shuttle?
No problem. There are specific logistical considerations with each trip, and we are happy to offer personal vehicle shuttles (see above).
Do you transport to / from Las Vegas?
We do not offer a shuttle to / from Las Vegas, but there are several different companies that we work with who do. If you prefer to come in and / or out of Las Vegas, we can help you set it up.
